Baby makes three …
This adorable family asked me to help announce their pregnancy a while back and here we are already taking newborn pictures.
I love so much about this family. They’re now a #partyoffive and they have two girls and one boy (like I have), they live in a home with a lot of ‘diy’ (check out the AMAZING wood wall) and it’s even a classic ‘mid-western’ style.
They’re down to earth and welcoming and gracious and kind (and funny). The kids kept me in stitches the whole time I was with them.
‘Big brother’ tried so hard to be near his sweet baby sister even when she cried. However, as you can see by the looks on his face it was everything he could to to lay still and wait to see if she would calm down.
My intent was to crop in a bit to show just the shirts of the older kids along with the baby but it didn’t really happen to turn out that way.
We tried a few times to soothe her in hopes to get a happy and calm look but we ended up with these priceless expressions of ‘real life’ instead. 🙂
Sweet baby girl quickly changed her tune once we changed her and got her fed and dry. She rocked the rest of the session; even giving us a few smiles and wide eyes and was so content when sister was holding her.
I prefer doing newborn sessions ‘at home’ so it’s easy for mom and dad to incorporate things they love that would be otherwise difficult to take to a studio.
Like the baby’s namesake sign made from the left over wood wall. SO CUTE!!!
I just love the personal touches and love when clients are able to (and want to) make their session ‘their own’.
The large pink headband/bow is from ‘Hello Miss Gorgeous‘.
Until next time,
